Job overview

Engaging, enthusiastic and excellent teacher wanted!

Once upon a time there was a talented teacher who inspired all children to be the very best they could be. This teacher always promoted very good learning behaviours and enjoyed seeing children become successful, confident and resilient. They were now ready for the next chapter of their career; to grow, develop and enjoy new opportunities and achievements…Could you be that teacher?

We are searching far and wide to find the right person for our challenging and exciting school. We are looking for a caring team player who is a pleasure to work with. This is an ideal post for somebody relocating to West Yorkshire, or for someone with a couple of successful years’ experience, wishing to develop their CPD and career.

In return, we can offer you a happy and very supportive school with a hardworking ethos. Our team is nurturing and has a good sense of humor. As a school, we have established a track record for developing excellent practitioners and growing our own teachers, middle and senior leaders.

Although this post is to initially cover maternity leave in year 3, it is a permanent post as we want to invest in someone who will be a part of our long-term team. The position is ideally from 1st January 2017, however we will consider people who are available from February half-term.

If you think you might be just what we are looking for and are ready for a new adventure, please email fiona.phimister.bp@gmail.com for an application pack and further information.

You can visit our school on the 5th October, 9.30am or 11th October, 9.30am or 1.30pm.

Closing date for completed applications is 9.00am, 17th October 2016.
Interviews will be held on 19th October.

Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced DBS check

Bowling Park exists to prepare and support children for their future, in a happy, healthy and safe environment. We want all our children to enjoy learning and to have the highest expectations of themselves.

Our school is about preparing children for their futures and life in modern Bradford, Britain and the wider world. We work together with families to build children’s expectations, hopes and ambitions. We want to give all children, regardless of their background, faith, gender, ability or ethnicity, the opportunity to be successful learners, to develop leadership and communication skills, be rounded individuals and build character.

Children at Bowling Park make excellent progress, not just in their learning (our progress scores in 2019 put us in the top 2% of schools nationally) but also as scientists, geographers, explorers, athletes, artists, designers, engineers, friends and more. Our children are determined to have successful, happy and fulfilled lives, despite the many challenges they face. Bowling Park sits in an area of high deprivation, where opportunities are difficult to find and families sometimes have low aspirations for their children. Being a kid in our community can be very difficult.

The logistics of our school are quite unique.. We have two sites that cater for nursery to year 6, which sit one mile apart. We are in the heart of Bradford and span two postcodes, BD4 and BD5, both of which face similar challenges. Our school is three-form entry.

Staff at our school are hard-working, determined and good-humored. They want the very best for our children and families. We have a strong track record of staff development, supportive environment and an open door policy.
