Teacher

The Maria Montessori School in Hampstead is seeking a qualified teacher to join the team in our growing senior school programme (12 to 16 year olds). This position offers a unique and exciting opportunity to deliver a rich academic and social experience grounded in Montessori principles to young adults. Working with a mixed age-group of young people the successful candidate will enjoy designing and implementing inter-disciplinary workshop based, experiential learning opportunities that inspire curiosity, critical thinking and independent exploration, in a small collaborative school community. The ideal candidate should enjoy working alongside adolescents both outside and in the classroom, often in collaboration with external experts. Creativity, social and real life skills are as important as strong academics. The work also involves building excellent relationships with the families of the school.


Candidates must hold a degree and preferably have an AMI 12-18 Diploma. However, we will also consider qualified teachers who would be interested in undertaking this additional training. Experience of working with this age group is required and knowledge of the delivery of IGSE qualifications is desirable. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion, as well as to safeguarding the welfare of children. This is a full-time position beginning in September 2025.
