Position Information 

Coffee Camp Public School is a two teacher school of 33 children, of which 36% are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, located 11km south of Nimbin. Coffee Camp Public School runs programs that cater for the needs of its students and the school community. Academic achievement, performing arts, sport, visible learning and student welfare are strengths and areas of focus. Coffee Camp Public School views student wellbeing as our "core" business. Practices that promote resilience, successful learners for the 21st century, care and respect for other cultures and our environment are embedded in our school culture. Coffee Camp Public School focuses on the implementation of the curriculum, success for aboriginal students, inclusivity for all cultures and staff and students acquiring and demonstrating leadership skills. Specific Selection Criteria 
  1. Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) with proven excellence in planning and delivering high-quality, data and evidence-based literacy and numeracy programs that positively impact the learning outcomes of all students including those from diverse backgrounds
  2. Ability to purposefully integrate Information Communication Technology and deliver innovative curriculum that engages students in authentic and meaningful learning experiences.
  3. Exceptional interpersonal skills to work as a highly effective and collaborative member of the staff team, using reflective practice, feedback and quality professional dialogue, to support whole school improvement and to build positive relationships with students, parents and the wider community. 
  4. Demonstrated willingness and capacity to co-ordinate and implement whole school programs and extra-curricular activities such as sport, public speaking, music and Creative Arts to strengthen school culture and promote the engagement of all students.  
  5. Commitment to and understanding of Aboriginal education and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement culturally appropriate learning experiences to foster genuine partnerships with students, families and the wider community.
  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
