Job overview

The Dorset Centre of Excellence are looking to recruit teaching staff for our amazing school, Coombe House School. We would like to hear from you if you feel you have the skills and attributes that would fit with our mission, to ensure young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability in Dorset are given the very best opportunities for success.

This is a fantastic opportunity for excellent teachers to work within a beautiful community setting where world class research, best practice and personal development come together in a unique environment at the beginning of this exciting journey.

The Dorset Centre of Excellence seeks to bring young people and professionals together in a stunning setting with extensive facilities across 55 acres of historical buildings and countryside to take both on a journey of learning, development, and discovery.

We are seeking the best people, to ensure everything we do here is done with excellence; working with empathy, compassion and understanding to ensure we will be leaders in professional learning and development. We are creating a Centre of Excellence to inspire and enrich the lives of those who join us, either as staff, learners or partners.

Who we are looking for:

• Are you an outstanding teacher with a passion for overcoming barriers to learning?

• Are you a primary trained teacher looking to further your career within Special Education?

• Are you an SEN specialist teacher with outstanding abilities to overcome the biggest barriers to learning?

• Do you have Nurture Group experience?

If so, we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for teachers who have the ability and commitment to working with pupils with special educational needs. Planning and delivering excellent teaching to enable a high-quality learning experience for all pupils is at the heart of what we do.  Teachers at Coombe House School will need to demonstrate compassion, understanding and flexibility in their approach, ensuring progression is central to all lessons, whilst giving our pupils the confidence to grow as they progress through our school. You will have the opportunity to build and shape this role at this exciting time to join, the start of our journey together.
