We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced English as an Additional Language Teacher to join our Junior School Vlaskamp, in The Hague. We have a full-time, temporary position available, from January to mid-July 2018.

The BSN is a leading international school. We are committed to providing an international, inspirational and individual education for all of our students. With a community of over 80 nationalities, English is an additional language for many of our students.

Our EAL team support students' learning both in mainstream classes and through specialised EAL lessons. In this role you will be supporting students who are new to English in Years 1 and 2.

The role will include:

  • Teaching English to individuals and mixed ability groups in an EAL classroom.
  • Working in partnership with the Class Teacher to teach individual students and small groups within the mainstream classroom, to ensure students access the curriculum.
  • Establishing a supportive, collaborative relationship with the students and parents.
  • Working with and supporting colleagues to plan for the learning needs of EAL learners.

The successful candidate will be up to date with current research on teaching and learning and will be committed to the inclusion of all students in the school. We are looking for candidates who understand how children acquire language and have experience with this particular age group.
