This temporary Class Teacher post is available on a full-time or part-time basis. Interested candidates are invited to apply for the role either as a temporary part-time post of 13hrs 30 mins per week based at Pinkie St Peters Primary School or full-time hours may be of more interest to you, therefore the post could be offered as part-time at Pinkie St Peters Primary School and part-time in another East Lothian School where class cover is required.
The Class Teacher post at Pinkie St Peters Primary School is to teach initially on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays days. If the successful candidate opts for full-time work, for the remainder of the week you would be based in another East Lothian school where cover is required.
The postholder will be on a temporary contract and therefore the rate of pay will be your incremental point on the Main Grade Scale.
Candidates can apply for this post either on a part-time or full-time basis. You will be asked on the application to specify which option you wish to be considered for.

To undertake class-teaching duties

Teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction.
Develop the school curriculum.
Assess, record and report on the work of pupils.
Prepare pupils for examinations and assist with their administration.
Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education.
Promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils.
Work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
Undertake appropriate and agreed Career Long Professional Development (CLPL).
Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review.
Contribute towards good order and the wider needs of the school.
