Position Information 

Leeton High School has an enrolment of 460 students with 18% of the student population being of Aboriginal heritage. The school has also experienced a steady increase in EAL/D enrolments in recent years. 

Located on Wiradjuri land, Leeton High School is well-resourced, set on attractive and spacious grounds and offers a diverse curriculum to meet the needs of students to prepare them for a productive and successful future. The school takes great pride in delivering a variety of academic, sporting, cultural and vocational opportunities and boasts excellent creative and performing arts programs available to all students.

Specific Selection Criteria 
  1. Approval to teach English Years 7-12.
  2. Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within the English faculty to develop quality teaching and learning programs.
  3. Ability to use effective classroom management skills to create a classroom environment that is engaging, inclusive and fosters a culture of high expectations.
  4. Highly developed communication skills with the ability to establish positive, respectful relationships with students, staff and families.
  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

 

 

 
Special Notes 

A Relocation support payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 may be available for eligible applicants.
