Murray Park School is seeking to appoint a full time and enthusiastic KS2/3 teacher to join our alternative provision team. The successful candidate would be joining a strong, hard-working team which is committed to achieving excellence and in which a creative approach to teaching and learning is strongly encouraged. We are ambitious for our students and we are seeking to appoint staff who can bring the right blend of flexibility, commitment, energy and vision. We welcome applications from teachers with ideas, enthusiasm and strong teaching ability of a variety of subjects, who can work within the diverse demands of the department whilst maintaining its recognised strengths and attributes.
The post is suitable for experienced teachers and the school is fully committed to supporting staff with CPD. The person appointed will have:

Murray Park Community School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 foundation school. The secondary school is located on the western edge of the city of Derby and has around 1100 students on roll, with a standard admission of 280 students. The school operates a 25 period week on a two week timetable basis.

Murray Park School is a rewarding and professionally stimulating place to work. Over the last 3 years we have undergone a journey of rapid improvement; moving from a Requires Improvement Ofsted grading to Good in September 2022, along with a Progress 8 improvement of 0.64 to 0 from the 2019 figure, as well as now being over-subscribed.
