Job overview

Teachers for Early Years/Year 1

  • Do you want to be part of establishing something truly outstanding?
  • Are you an innovative, exciting and reflective practitioner who can make a difference?
  • Are you looking for a unique opportunity to be part of our new school?

Floreat Brentford Primary School opened in September 2015 with Reception age pupils. Our aim is to enable children to flourish by using the most effective academic programmes available, such as phonics and a knowledge-rich curriculum, and by developing the character strengths that children need to live happy and successful lives. Although we are currently located in temporary accommodation, we are going to have a brand new state of the art school built for us in the heart of Brentford. Our aim is to become an outstanding community primary school for local children. We are fortunate to serve a diverse and cohesive community who value the role of education and want the best outcomes for their children.

We are looking for enthusiastic and creative teachers to work within our school, which is growing in size every year. We will have Reception and Year 1 classes by September 2016. We welcome applications from experienced teachers who could lead and also NQTs. We can offer you excellent professional development opportunities and support from colleagues and other schools across the Trust.

We can offer you:

  • A new school team who will share your energy and enthusiasm to build a great school.
  • A superb professional development programme which will enable you to develop as a genuine leader of learning.
  • A brilliant community of professionals across the Trust, with great expertise
  • Support from an exceptionally skilled executive team including our founder, Lord O’Shaughnessy, and our CEO, Janet Hilary NLE.
  • Opportunities to shape the building of a new community school
  • The chance to contribute to planning a new state of the art school building and learning environment.
  • Parents who tell us they love what we do and who are ready to give you their full support.
  • Engaged and enthusiastic pupils who are eager to learn and succeed.

In return, we are looking for someone who is:

  • An outstanding, reflective classroom practitioner who is passionate about teaching and lifelong learning and has the ability and dedication to make a real difference to the lives of children.

If you want to flourish in teaching and have a great impact on children’s lives and their families, this is the job for you.

Visits are welcome and can be arranged by contacting Mrs Beckett in the school office on 0208 560 9207 or brentfordoffice@floreat.org.uk.

You can also visit our website: www.floreatbrentford.org.uk.

Completed applications should be returned to the school office by Monday 16th May at noon.
Shortlisting will take place Tuesday 17th May and successful candidates will be called for interview within the following few days.

Floreat is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Offers of employment will be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
