The Ministry of Education, Employment and Gender Affairs of the Cayman Islands invites applications for the following education roles within the Government school system for the 2016/17 academic years commencing immediately or no later than 3rd January 2017:
Teacher for the Hearing Impaired
Salary: US$60,302 - $69,986 per annum
To provide specialized services to children with Hearing impairment (HI) by assessing, developing, implementing and monitoring programmes for HI students within the Government School System and Early Intervention (EIP) setting. To provide a stimulating and active learning environment that promotes students physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, cultural, creative and moral development and maximizes the achievement of all students.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject from a recognized institution
- Formal teacher training/qualification as specified in the Department of Education Services policy on Teacher Qualifications, with an emphasis on teaching the hearing impaired
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar teaching role
