TEACHER/ HEAD OF ESL
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching English as a Second Language Learners (ELL) in IBPYP and/or IBMYP. There is also the potential for a position of responsibility as Head of ELL (Grades 1 through 10). All teachers are expected to contribute to the pastoral/homeroom curriculum and to after-school activities programme.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have a degree qualification, preferably in English or ESL. Additionally, a current teaching certificate, PGCE or equivalent and at least three years teaching experience is required for work vias purposes.

The European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) was founded in 2009 and is a member of Inspired organization. The school is an independent, co-educational and multicultural international school. The school is authorized by the International Baccalaureate and is accredited (2018) by the Council of International Schools (CIS). The campus is located in a suburban district of the city and is considered a boutique “educational village” comprised of 13 renovated villas in a tropical garden setting, enhanced with purpose build facilities.
The current enrolment of the school is 570 students, approximately 200 of whom are in the Middle and High Schools. There are 46 nationalities represented, the largest representations being from Korea, Vietnam, Germany, UK and Australia. Over 60% of the student body are English as a Second Language students.
