This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of a new ASD resource and you will be fully involved from the start to ensure high standards are set and achieved. You will need excellent leadership skills and the ability to create a clear vision for the unit as well as the skills to develop the pupils to their full potential.

The Unit will be complete by December 2017, the successful candidate will work with the Headteacher and the ASD Unit at our partner School, Trinity, to shape the provision for the new unit and gain an insight into the values and ethos of the Trust.

We invite applications from colleagues who:

  • Have the skills to develop and lead a successful specialist unit
  • Have a strong track record of outstanding teaching
  • Have high expectations of pupils and experience of raising achievement
  • Can contribute to all pupils in the continued growth of the Newbury Academy Trust

If you feel that you have the experience and drive for this role we would like to hear from you. Application is by letter to Mrs L Dove, Headteacher and application form, the latter including the names and addresses of two appropriate referees.
