Job overview

We are looking for an outstanding teacher with high expectations of students to teach A Level English Literature at Islington Sixth Form College. The ability to teach A Level Film and/or Media Studies would be an advantage.

The subjects are popular choices for students at the Sixth Form with over 450 A Level English Literature and A Level English Language and Literature students and 350 A Level Media and Film students currently on roll.

City and Islington Sixth Form College is well established and over-subscribed. We are situated on one site at the Angel in the heart of London and our wonderful students travel from across the city to learn with us. 

All teachers are tutors to a pastoral group of up to 22 A Level students and we have a wide range of enrichment and extension activities to develop our students’ confidence and skills.
