The Ellesmere Port Church of England College is a secondary school with an ethos based on Anglican beliefs where we welcome students from all faiths.

We are a part of the Frank Field Education Trust and work collaboratively with other academies in our FFET family, allowing our students and staff many opportunities to develop themselves.  This is embodied in the FFET and College vision: Social Justice through Excellence in Education.

We have a modern, state of the art building, which uses new technologies to support and enrich the learning experience and curriculum.  This rich combination ensures that we are able to prepare all our students for the challenges of the future.

The Ellesmere Port C of E College is looking to appoint a Teacher in Charge of Drama, who is passionate about their subject, to work closely with the Head of Creative, Senior Leadership and colleagues throughout the department and College, to drive continuing improvement in students’ progress within Drama.

Your role will involve developing best practice in Teaching and Learning within Drama, as well implementing the College’s vision for Drama, ensuring Drama is accessible to all students.

You should have a proactive, creative approach in order to encourage our students to engage with Drama and the creative arts as a whole.  Creative Arts is key to the College’s belief that we can inspire every child to ‘Be More’ and you should be committed to leading extra-curricular and enrichment activities.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who can demonstrate experience of raising attainment in Drama across all Key Stages.  You will have a proven track record of success in the classroom and demonstrate high aspirations for the future.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to work closely with leaders to demonstrate their ability to champion the College’s development and to be part of our challenging, but rewarding, journey towards improvement.

About The Ellesmere Port Church of England College

Welcome to The Ellesmere Port Church of England College, a College with an ethos based on Anglican beliefs where we welcome students from all faiths.

We are a part of the Frank Field Education Trust and work collaboratively with the other academies in our FFET family to allow our students and staff opportunities to develop themselves in a manner that other schools cannot.

This is embodied in the FFET vision: 'Social Justice through Excellence in Education' and in the College’s motto: ‘Aspire not to have more but to be more’.

At our College, we offer students a very high quality virtues led education within a well-disciplined environment; combining the best in traditional education: high quality teaching, regular homework, high standards in behaviour, smart uniform with quality enrichment opportunities.

We deliver this first class education, in a state of the art building, using new technologies to support and enrich the learning experience and curriculum. This rich combination ensures that we are able to prepare all our students for the challenges of the future.

We give every student the opportunity to develop his/her individual talents to the full. We expect every student to work hard and progress well, and in order to achieve this, we need every parent/carer to support our College in this work.

‘To act justly, to love with mercy and to walk humbly with our God’ – Micah 6:8
