Job overview

Are you looking for a rewarding career with excellent benefits and prospects?

We are currently seeking to recruit staff who have a strong interest in educating and training the next generation of skilled workers, with a particular focus on plumbing and heating.

Why should I consider a career in teaching?

You don’t need any previous experience of working as a qualified teacher/trainer as you will be able to study for teaching or training and assessor qualifications, which the College will fund. You will be working in an environment whereby you will be supported and guided to achieve success in the role.

This is an opportunity to use the knowledge you have gained in your career in a highly rewarding role. So, if you are interested in learning about a career which can transform people’s lives and are interested in joining our team of dedicated and committed professionals, please read on to discover why you should consider working for Northampton College:

It will revitalise your career in a fresh and exciting way enabling you to build on or develop new skills and thus enhancing your career opportunities.

The roles that we are seeking to fill can be undertaken in a flexible way to compliment your lifestyle. Although the work is demanding, there are opportunities to choose between working full-time, part-time, evenings and potentially Saturdays. If you are feeling disillusioned with a 9-5 grind, this may be perfect for you. We offer generous holiday schemes, with holiday entitlement ranging from 24 to 42 days per year (dependent on role) plus a total of 11 Bank Holidays/Closure Days.

We offer excellent defined contribution pension schemes, which both the employee and College contribute to; the College’s contribution, dependent on the pension scheme for your role, being the equivalent of either 18.6% or 23.68% of your salary.
