Broxburn Academy is a comprehensive non-denominational school and serves a cluster of four primary schools serving the communities of Broxburn, Uphall, Kirkhill, Pumpherston and Dechmont.
The school roll is currently 870 and this is steadily rising due to housing developments within the area and an ever increasing confidence from the community about the standard of education we provide and this can also be seen in the growing number of placing requests from outside the catchment area.
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher with drive and ambition, who is committed to improvement and excellence to work with our ASN Small Group Environment pupils. It would be preferable for candidates to have experience in teaching English or Maths but all subject area expertise would be considered.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate.
The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18. TheÂ£59 cost (where appropriate) will be deducted from your salary over a 1 or 3 month period by repayment schedule. If your employment concludes before the amount is re-paid in full, the outstanding balance will be deducted from your final salary.
