1. Specialist English Teacher KS3/KS4

Are you an outstanding, creative, and qualified English Teacher with experience of teaching and supporting key stage 3 and 4 pupils with Special Educational Needs? We are looking for a proactive, resourceful, and energetic English Teacher for key stages 3 and 4. You should be self-motivated with a creative approach to curriculum delivery and have the skills to continuously improve the learning experience for our pupils. You should also have experience of working with young people with SEMH and complex needs and understand what approaches work well and how building positive relationships are key.

2. Specialist SEMH Teacher KS2 and 3

We are looking for a proactive, resourceful, and energetic SEMH Primary Teacher for key stages 2 and 3 across the curriculum, with the support of our specialist teachers covering Art, Design/DT, PE, Maths and English. We would like to hear from you if you are a skilled Primary Teacher and have a passion for inclusion and teaching pupils with SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health) challenges and those with autism.

3. Specialist KS2 & KS3 ASC Teacher to start in September 2024

Are you an outstanding Specialist KS2 & KS3 ASC Teacher with extensive experience of working with Autistic children/young people in an education setting and a passion for inclusion, enabling all children to overcome barriers to learning? The position of Specialist KS2 & KS3 ASC Teacher has been created to support the growth of the school and the needs of our pupils, it is a great opportunity to be part of a team proving the very best possible educational opportunities for our pupils within a nurturing and supportive setting.

All pupils who attend the school have an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan). Coombe House School provides a unique, individualised program of education for all our students.

Teaching in small educational groups {a maximum of 8 pupils per class}.

Coombe House School is an independent special school that provides education for pupils aged 5 to 19 with SEMH and ASD and associated difficulties. All pupils on roll have an EHCP. The school uses a therapeutic approach to support pupils with their individual difficulties. Everything the school does is based on positive relationships and viewing behaviour as communication.
