Kates Hill Primary is seeking an exceptional and experienced Key Stage 2 teacher to support our continued journey in improving the educational outcomes for the children at Kates Hill Primary.

Kates Hill is a happy multicultural primary school situated near the centre of Dudley.

A real strength of the school is the diversity and quality of staff. These are supported by our highly skilled Teaching Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants, a Home School Liaison Worker, a Sports Coach/Pastoral Care, a Social Inclusion Manager and a Learning Manager.

Dudley Academies Trust was formed in September 2017 under the sponsorship of Dudley College of Technology. Our Trust schools are St James Academy, The Link Academy, Pegasus Academy, Beacon Hill Academy, Blowers Green Primary and Kate’s Hill Primary. The Trust when combined with the sponsor, annually supports 8,500 young people aged 4 to 19 years old and employs almost 1,300 staff.

As a Trust we are highly centralised, which means that all of our systems and processes are aligned. Everything we do is developed collaboratively involving many professionals and experts who work together across the Trust, all striving to provide the highest quality provision for our learners.

The Trust recognises that our staff are our most valuable asset and investing in our people is a key strategic priority for the Trust. A common and extensive programme of staff development operates across the Trust, this is extended to senior and middle leaders, aspiring leaders, teaching and support staff and non-qualified teachers.

Kates Hill is a large primary school situated in central Dudley, serving over 400 pupils.

At its last inspection, the school successfully retained its ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement. The Trust is building on this positive culture to create a thriving learning community which is now on its journey to outstanding.

Kates Hill stands out for the amount of outdoor learning that takes place. Forest School is all about building skills and confidence through regular sessions in the outdoors or outdoor classroom, where children can learn about the natural environment while tackling new challenges and gaining new experiences. The school also benefits from having an edible playground, where children can help to grow and pick fruit and vegetables.

Like all of the schools within Dudley Academies Trust, Kates Hill benefits from a comprehensive range of support from the Trust’s Central Team, covering everything from Teaching & Learning to Estates Management, IT, Safeguarding and Staff Development.
