Teaching ServiceTinonee Public School is a small school located on the Manning River with an enrolment of approximately 150 students across seven classes. Tinonee Public School has 15% Aboriginal students and strong connections to community. Tinonee Public School nurtures the development of each individual child, ensuring they have opportunities to achieve personal excellence across the curriculum. Our core values underpin the school culture as well as offering various wellbeing programs. Classroom learning is enriched through future focused learning and the many diverse enrichment and extra curricula activities available. Curriculum differentiation is embedded in teaching and learning programs to ensure all students succeed in the learning environment. There is a strong community presence in the school and a strong sense of partnership between parents/carers and staff. The school is strongly supported by an active P&C with positive learning community involvement.
- Approval to teach primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications (approved by the NSW Department of Education) with emphasis on promoting high expectations and differentiated learning programs.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver innovative lessons engaging students and teachers in future focused initiatives, as well as promoting a love of literacy and literature across the whole school.
- Highly developed communication, organisation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the school, our community and contribute positively to the whole school culture.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and awareness and understanding of the needs of Aboriginal students and communities.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 24 months.
This is a permanent part time position for 2 days per week, 0.4FTE (Full-time equivalent).
