St Joseph’s Bardon Primary School is seeking a part time Teacher Librarian (3 days a week in 2019). To be successful in this role you will hold appropriate qualifications and experience, have a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum and contemporary pedagogy, have successfully demonstrated information and digital literacy skills and have effective communication skills. You will have the ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents/carers and the ability to attend to detail in innovative and creative practices. In addition, you will be able to: work collaboratively with teachers and school leaders to develop and implement the vision of the school community for an effective library, including identifying curriculum and learning needs; collaborate with others to plan, resource and provide learning experiences, which incorporate digital and information literacy skills and processes; select and promote resources to facilitate student learning within a contemporary curriculum; engage and empower students to read, view, listen and respond for understanding and enjoyment; employ a variety of teaching strategies to provide appropriate instruction to meet the diverse needs of individuals or groups; develop and access resources to support equity of educational opportunities for all students; promote high quality literature and authors to all learners through specific activities; and provide assistance and guidance to readers.
St Joseph's School is a Catholic co-educational primary school, with an enrolment of 368 students.
