Teacher

REQUIRED FROM September 2022 due to expansion: 

An outstanding full time teacher for Primary Department. 

The successful candidate will be assimilated onto the Main Scale up to Park Lane Scale point 8 depending upon qualifications and experience plus 1 SEN point. Upper pay scale is available for a suitably qualified and experienced teacher. 

Park Lane School is an all-age Special School currently meeting the needs of 96 pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties, physical difficulties, sensory difficulties and health needs. The school has high expectations for all pupils.

The Governors wish to appoint:

An enthusiastic and outstanding full time teacher for the Primary Department. 

You should have:-

• A positive attitude towards and ability to engage with young people who have severe disabilities. 

• Some experience in working with children and young people who have disabilities in a specialist setting, particularly teaching children who have ASC is desirable. 

• Ability to lead, organise and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.

• Ability to plan an engaging and age appropriate curriculum for young people.

• Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff.
