Teaching ServiceMarayong South Public School (established 1962) has a current enrolment of 345 students, including 13% of students from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background. We are located in the Quakers Hill Schools Network and are well supported by our local school community.
Our educational programs support a diverse range of learning needs across the school. Our SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) programs include Second Step and PBL (Positive Behaviour for Learning) along with the Peer Support Program. Our focus areas of High Expectations and Effective Feedback are ingrained in the collaborative, differentiated programs developed and taught across all stage groups. We cater to the needs of all students including those who require extension through gifted and talented opportunities. We have a supportive community who take pride in the school and its achievements and actively participate in community events bringing together parents, students and teachers.
At Marayong South we are creating and leading a culture of continuous improvement to ensure that every student, every teacher and every leader improves every year.
- Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) with a deep understanding of curriculum and demonstrated ability to deliver high quality differentiated literacy and numeracy programs embedding Information and Communication Technology.
- Highly developed communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with students, teachers and parents.
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive learning environments with a thorough understanding of effective behaviour management strategies that enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to assist with the implementation and organisation of extra curricular activities, including sport and music programs.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
