Quay View School is recruiting for a Teacher to join our education team on a 1-year fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. We are looking for a versatile, resilient and committed teacher, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across key stages.
This is a temporary maternity cover position expected to run until the end of the 2026/2027 academic year. While this role is fixed-term, there may be opportunities for ongoing employment within the school, subject to organisational needs.
Located in Bere Alston, Quay View School specialises in providing education for children and young people aged 7-19 with autism (ASD) and social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) related conditions, including trauma and attachment. The successful candidate will be able to:

At Southern Peninsula Services, we offer bespoke placements for young people (boys and girls) aged 7 to 19 years who have complex needs including SEBD, ASD and other learning disabilities.
In liaison with the commissioning LA’s and parents, we are able to make clear decisions about the educational and care programmes that best meet the individual needs of the young person. Our programmes are also supported by on-site therapy services, where necessary.
