Teacher (MAT Cover)

Quay View School is recruiting for a Teacher to join our education team on a 1-year fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. We are looking for a versatile, resilient and committed teacher, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across key stages.

This is a temporary maternity cover position expected to run until the end of the 2026/2027 academic year. While this role is fixed-term, there may be opportunities for ongoing employment within the school, subject to organisational needs.

Located in Bere Alston, Quay View School specialises in providing education for children and young people aged 7-19 with autism (ASD) and social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) related conditions, including trauma and attachment. The successful candidate will be able to:

• Ensure student safety and wellbeing, upholding safeguarding as a priority

• Deliver outstanding teaching by understanding how students learn best, creating engaging lessons, and developing a curriculum that supports their wellbeing and personal development via motivating and fun activities

Due to the location and requirements of the school, you will ideally hold a UK driving license.
