Values and vision

St Benedict’s R.C. High School wants to provide all students with a high quality education, where they can reach their full potential across the curriculum. The secondary school wishes for students to develop intellectually and socially during their time learning and offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities for them to get involved in and gain new experience outside the classroom. The Christian faith is at the core of the school’s ethos and it promotes the gospel values, including tolerance, respect for others and co-operation, on a daily basis. Students at the school are nurtured to become active and responsible citizens who will go on to contribute positively to the community throughout their future lives.

Education Scotland

“Most young people are happy at school and keen to learn. They are aware of the purpose of their lessons and engage effectively in group and class discussions. At the upper stages, they are beginning to take more responsibility for their learning and for setting targets to improve.”
