Tes is supporting the appointment of an experienced Teacher to join a fantastic team at a school based in Lancashire.

As a Food Technology & ICT Teacher, you will deliver lessons to pupils according to their educational needs, in a way that maximises children’s achievement and ability to develop.

This is a great opportunity for a Teacher who wants to develop creative learning opportunities for children with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, working with pupils who require extra support with learning, in a school where they maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

You will be educated up to a Degree level with QTS/QTLS (or working towards). ECT welcome to apply.

  • Qualified to degree level with QTS/QTLS
  • ECT’s are welcome to apply
  • The belief that all children deserve a life of choice and opportunity
  • Ability to be adaptable in a fast-paced extremely environment
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all children

Desirable

  • Secondary or Primary teacher with over two years teaching experience
  • Experience of working with young people from challenging backgrounds
  • Evidence of continually improving the outcomes of pupils

About the School

The school is an Independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 11 to 18, catering for children with a wide range of needs in Lancashire, Manchester and surrounding areas. Their dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

They pride themselves in steering children in the right direction, nurturing aspiration to progress them academically and socially, to encourage them to take pride in their achievements. Socially, they build confidence in their students so they are able to have a greater understanding of the wider community in which they live.
