This post is suitable for experienced A Level Drama Teachers

Start date: Anticipated December 2021.

We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic A Level Drama Teacher.

Here at HNC, our teachers have the rare opportunity to be a catalyst for social change by transforming the lives of the young people in the communities that we serve.  Working alongside caring, committed professionals, benefiting from an exceptional CPD programme and having access to the full range of state of the art learning resources empowers our staff to add significant value to every student.  Our staff work tirelessly to ensure that their students enjoy learning, excel in their chosen subjects and achieve their goals.  If you share our belief that discrimination and deprivation should never limit the quality of a young person’s educational experience or progress, then we would love to hear from you.

The Faculty of Humanities, Languages and Literature is one of the highest performing areas in the College and results are consistently above Sixth Form College averages both for raw outcomes and value added.  In addition to Drama, the Faculty team delivers A Levels in Philosophy, Ethics & Religion, History, Geography, French, Spanish, English (Literature and combined), and GCSE English.  The team consists of 14 teachers and 2 languages assistants who work collaboratively to ensure that students receive an enjoyable, challenging learning experience and realise their full potential.

Huddersfield New College is ‘Disability Confident Leader’ employer and we are committed to fulfilling the disability provisions of the Equality Act 2010.  All disabled candidates who meet the essential criteria for a post will be offered an interview and we will make all reasonable adjustments to enable you to attend the interview. We are committed to equal opportunities and safeguarding young people and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate will be required for all posts. Applications are welcomed from all sections of the community.

The successful candidate will be subject to relevant background and safeguarding checks.

The interview and assessment date for this post is Thursday 18th November.

The closing date for this vacancy is midday 29th October.
