TEACHER OF ‘A’ LEVEL PHOTOGRAPHY
10 hours per week, 5 days, 3.00-5.00 p.m.
Due to the retirement of our Photography Teacher, the governors seek to recruit a Teacher of Photography to this over-subscribed 11-18 Catholic school, enriched by its Arts specialism. The school is very successful with an ‘Outstanding’ Sixth Form and ALPS ‘2’ both for A level and GCSE.
Photography is a popular subject at the school and is taught in a twilight session for Year 12 & Year 13. Student engagement and results are very high.
AS & A Level Photography are elective subjects at the school. Students therefore have to attend their timetabled sessions after school. The minimum requirement for attendance is 4 hours across the week with an additional 2 hours of private study. As many of our students are bused in from across the county, this requires an enormous amount of commitment from students and parents alike.
The course is entirely electronic with students developing and making use of their IT Editing Skills in Photoshop. All students follow independent learning programs and taught as individuals. Across time they become highly independent and fully take control of and responsibility for their own learning and progression.

Our campus is now an elegant, state of the art school, likened by many to be more like a university than a school in appearance, facilities and the pride and care that students take in their environment.
