Job overview

We encourage you to read our website very carefully and familiarise yourself with our 2014 Ofsted report, our prospectus, candidate information pack and application form for the post. What will be clear to you is that you are applying to an extremely successful school and one with a decidedly clear ethos of achievement. We moved, in November 2012, into a brand new £80 million school. The school became an Academy in September 2013 and was recognised by the Department for Education as a Teaching School in 2015. In 2016, the school’s results profile placed it in the top 5% of schools nationally for the fifth consecutive year. The school is committed to developing its teachers and to fostering the development of outstanding teaching. The school is a small and personalised community which is committed to creating careers for people. It is experienced in supporting NQTs and indeed enjoys this aspect of staff development but it has had equal success in fostering the careers of colleagues who join having taught in other schools.

Psychology and criminology are highly popular courses amongst Sixth Form students.  Students apply to Holland Park School Sixth Form with high performing academic results and so they are well suited to the new A-Level Psychology course, which is highly scientific and requires insightful analysis of statistical and observational data.  The criminology course is new to the school and promises to be an exciting addition to the Sixth Form provision.  Sixth Form teachers have specialist rooms and have access to generous and specialist resources and interactive whiteboard technology to support them in their teaching.

An application form and Candidate Information Pack is available from the school’s website: http://www.hollandparkschool.co.uk/school/train-and-teach-with-us. Early application is encouraged as we will seek to interview and appoint of receipt. The closing date for applications is Friday 3rd February.
