Due to promotion University Academy Holbeach is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational teacher to join our Art department. This post is suitable for an experienced or newly qualified teacher wishing to join a team of specialists who ensure a high standard of teaching, learning and achievement.
Art is a popular subject and pupils study a range of artists and styles at Key Stage 3. At Key Stage 4 pupils follow a GCSE course which prepares them for A Level Art or the BTEC Level 3 OCR Extended Diploma in Art and Design both of which are offered as part of our post 16 programme of study.
Interested candidates will have:
• the ability to teach Art to KS4 /KS5
• the ability to plan and deliver high quality lessons
• the ability to motivate and achieve excellent results
• excellent organisational skills and an appreciation of art and design
• the ability to form positive working relationships with staff and pupils
• the ability to work collaboratively
University Academy Holbeach is an oversubscribed school in a rural location and serves the local community and the surrounding villages. The school site is equipped with state of the art facilities including teaching walls.
Teachers wishing to embark upon further post graduate study as part of their CPD will be supported through our sponsor the University of Lincoln.
The school was recently rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted (March 2019).
