Nexus is located in Putrajaya, near Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Established in 2008 as part of the Taylor’s Education Group, we currently enrol 700 students from Early Years to Year 13 who learn through the IPC, IGCSE and IBDP curricula. We have an inclusive admissions policy and you can expect to teach learners with learning and language needs as well as exceptionally academic and talented children.
The student population is made up of over 30 different nationalities giving our school a truly global character. Previous international experience is not required, but the desire to work in a diverse international community is essential. All staff are also expected to contribute to the co-curricular programme.
As a member of the successful Art department, you will be expected to teach across the secondary school, focussing in the first year on grades 7-10. You may be asked to support art lessons in Years 5 and 6 on occasion. We are looking for someone who is able to use a range of media in delivering the art curriculum, which includes fine art as well as photography and digital art. Nexus is committed to developing personalised learning so that all learners, given their individual gifts and talents, are challenged and make progress and all teachers are expected to develop the skills to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners. As an Apple Distinguished School we expect all teachers to learn to use technology in a transformative way to enhance learning.
We provide a professionally stimulating and collaborative, well-resourced working environment with well-motivated students. We offer a competitive salary as well as outstanding professional learning opportunities.
