We are looking for an outstanding art teacher, with a commitment to continuing professional development, to join our art department. You will inspire students with your passion for art and possess the highest expectations of all students. You will be required to teach art up to and including G.C.S.E. A level teaching may be available for an outstanding candidate.  There could also be opportunities for candidates with skills in photography to teach G.C.S.E. and/or A level photography. 

Art belongs to the Technology Faculty and has a track record of success in several disciplines. In 2017, 83.33% A*-C was achieved in G.C.S.E. Fine Art, 80.77% in G.C.S.E. Art/Craft/Design and 83% in G.C.S.E. Photography. Fine Art and Photography are also popular options at A-Level. 

This post is suitable for either an NQT or a more experienced teacher. NQTS are well supported. They teach a reduced timetable, have a mentor within their subject and participate in an induction programme which is led by an Assistant Headteacher. 

Moulsham High School has a close working relationship with an on-site early year’s childcare provider. This enables staff working at the school to receive a discount if full day nursery or wrap around care is required.

Short-listed candidates will be asked to complete a ‘Disclosure of Criminal Convictions’ form and, where appropriate, a Disclosure will be sought from the Criminal Records Bureau in the event of a successful application. A conviction will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining employment.
