Hours per Week: 0.6 FTE The Creative Arts department at Pendleton Sixth Form are seeking to employ an experienced, well qualified and enthusiastic teacher of art and design with knowledge of fashion and garment construction also. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead curriculum delivery working at level 2 and level 3. Working as part of a team they will be responsible for planning, delivery and assessment on one of our UAL awarding body diplomas. In addition, the ideal candidate will have good working knowledge of garment construction techniques to deliver on our part-time level 1 adult provision in Fashion and Textiles. We are typically looking for an art and design tutor who, through experience of delivering across several creative courses will possess a range of skills from drawing and visual recording through to printmaking, working with 3D processes, textile and fashion processes and techniques. They will also have broader skills to draw upon including digital working (which could be the use of Adobe software as well as the use of remote working tools such as MS Teams), strong planning skills, be an excellent communicator and motivator, and able to engage students in contextual enquiry and research to support their ideas development through to strong, confident art and design outcomes.
