Job overview
We are looking to appoint an excellent teacher who is able to motivate and inspire, to teach Art and DT up to GCSE level. The successful candidate will encourage high standards and should be able to teach in a small department.
Applications are welcome from both independent and maintained sectors. This is a 3 day/week position.

Founded in 1923, Normanhurst School is a co-educational independent school located in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The school accepts children aged 2 1/2 to 16, and has around 280 pupils in total. Normanhurst’s site is comprised of older Edwardian buildings, housing a range of modern teaching and recreational facilities, as well as a number of more modern purpose-built teaching areas.
Normanhurst offers a high standard of education and a fulfilling learning experience in a happy, secure and caring environment. With an emphasis on respect, we allow pupils to fulfil their potential by working together for the benefit of each other. We nurture, praise and encourage.
In 1996 Normanhurst became part of the Oak-Tree Group of Schools and under the ownership of the Hagger Family looks forward to many more years of service to the community. Normanhurst School runs a high-quality curriculum, making the most of its modern teaching resources. The school seeks to encourage the creativity and nascent talent of its pupils, and offers a number of extra-curricular clubs and field trips in order to help broaden its students' perspectives. Normanhurst School does not offer post-16 provision, but works hard to ensure that older students in Years 10 and 11 are properly supported with careers and higher-education guidance.
