Teaching across the 11-18 range through a variety of media and disciplines, including painting, drawing, printing, film and sculpture, you will engage pupils in an imaginative way through teaching Art, Craft and Design from historical and contemporary sources.
This is an exciting opportunity to build on the Art Department’s recent success, where results have been exceptionally strong, attesting to the Department’s high standards and innovative practice (100% of the Fine Art GCSE grades in 2017 were A-A*). Each year, a number of sixth-form pupils proceed to study a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at some of the UK’s most competitive universities and colleges.

Streatham & Clapham High School (SCHS) is a highly successful independent, academically selective school for girls aged 3-18. SCHS is abuzz with activity. Pupils regularly put on ambitious drama productions. The school has four choirs, a full orchestra and a variety of chamber-music groups. Its pupils participate in a legion of sporting activities, in which they achieve great success. SCHS’s Gymnastics teams, for instance, were the best in England in the 2012 National Gymnastics Competition. However, pupils attain success across the spectrum of activity, from achieving outstanding results in public-speaking competitions, to winning prizes for the crash-testing of vehicles at Imperial College; from gaining awards for eco-action and sustainability, to trekking across the Atlas Mountains in Morocco or to the base camp of Mount Everest.
