North Birmingham Academy in is currently looking for a talented and creative teacher of Art to join its successful team.
We are looking for a genuinely inspiring and enthusiastic Art teacher to teach art across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5, the ability to teach some KS3 technology lessons would also be beneficial. We are looking for a teacher who can make a significant contribution to this successful department.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our Art Department in a school which has a flourishing creative arts tradition. The Art Department is extremely well resourced, with state of the art facilities and a suite of bespoke rooms including a kiln and a Photography studio. At Key Stage 4, pupils study GCSE and Btec Art; students also have the opportunity to further their Btec Art study at Level 3 in the sixth form.
The successful applicant will be creative, well organised and will actively assist in the further development of Art within the Academy, contributing to the vibrant programme of extra-curricular support provided to all pupils. You will be an integral part of our team and be committed to working in a culturally and socially diverse school.
Candidates should have experience of teaching GCSE and BTEC Art, including moderation and standardisation procedures.
North Birmingham Academy underwent major redeveloped in 2013 and is built over 10,500m2 set in over 16 acres of landscaped grounds.
