Job overview

Teacher of Art: 2d specialist in drawing, print-making and/or painting

(Part-time 3 or 4 days per week)

This is an exciting, flexible career opportunity based in a thriving, well-established art department. The successful candidate will work either 3 or 4 days per week teaching committed and intelligent pupils across the age range from year 7 art to Fine Art A level. The post is suitable for an experienced or a recently qualified teacher-artist, with substantial experience in either painting or print-making; the ability to teach 3d design and sculpture to lower years would be an asset. A teaching qualification is not essential.

Based in specialist, well-equipped studios, the post offers the chance to combine teaching and tutoring with time spent developing your own artistic practice.   All teachers also participate in enrichment activities, assisting with a variety of clubs, art visits, overseas trips and co-curricular activities.

St Paul’s Girls’ School is one of the country’s leading independent secondary day schools for girls aged 11-18. Housed in grade 2 listed buildings in Brook Green, the school provides excellent facilities and a lively and stimulating teaching environment, matched by consistently outstanding exam results.
