Bacon’s College seeks to appoint an outstanding practitioner of Art, who has the energy and creativity to teach inner city students across the age and ability range.  This is an opportunity for an ambitious professional to make a difference and a chance to develop and demonstrate capacity to take on further responsibilities in the future.   

The Design department is well staffed and resourced with nine full time teachers, supported by two part time teachers and three technicians.  The team deliver the full range of Fine Art, Textiles, Applied Art, Graphics, Product Design and Food Technology in an imaginative and creative way across all Key Stages.  

Bacon’s is a Church of England sponsored academy with a strong values based ethos, it is a popular and oversubscribed school.  The College is currently facing a challenging period of cultural change and a revitalisation of its core activity of teaching and learning.  Staff and students will be challenged and supported to achieve at the highest levels both academically and personally.
