Teacher of Art

Required for September 2024

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Art teacher to further strengthen an already thriving Art and Design faculty. Applications are invited from ambitious, inspirational and talented classroom practitioners who are passionate about delivering exciting, innovative and engaging Art lessons that allow all students to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate may be required to teach some aspects of Design Technology at KS3 (Food Technology or D&T). Ormiston Meridian Academy is a thriving secondary academy in the south of the city, serving 11-16 year old students. Our Art and Design faculty is highly successful with plenty of experience and expertise, making it an ideal faculty for an ECT to thrive. The team work collaboratively and support one another brilliantly. Leaders provide a clear and strategic approach to the curriculum, teaching and assessment approaches ensuring new members of the team have schemes of learning and lesson resources to hit the ground running. The team also demonstrate a commitment to extra-curricular clubs and activities and the successful candidate would be expected to support this.
