The Castle School is seeking a high quality full time Teacher of Art to start in September 2018.
Situated in Taunton, the historic county town of Somerset, The Castle School is a popular and over-subscribed academy with an enviable record of academic success over many years.
At The Castle School we are fortunate to have students who are motivated and enthusiastic about learning and taking part in the huge range of enrichment on offer. The Art department consists of 3 spacious rooms, equipped for drawing, painting, printmaking and mixed media/ construction. We also have a small photography studio and access to a computer suite. All students follow a general art and design course at key stage 3, leading to the opportunity to study GCSEs in Fine Art, Photography or Textiles. Art at The Castle is a popular and successful subject, we maintain a high profile in the school with regular displays and exhibitions and we are valued and well supported as a subject area. GCSE results are among the best in the school with a significant number of students each year achieving at A and A* grades.
You should be a committed and high quality teacher with the ability to teach Fine Art and Photography. NQTs and experienced teachers are equally welcome to apply.
