Teacher of Art

We are a forward-thinking Academy based in Weston-super-Mare, providing education to a rising cohort of around 950 students at KS3/KS4 from September. Our pupils are excited to learn, are real ambassadors for our diverse community and benefit from a hugely positive and supportive learning environment. 

We are part of the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) which is the largest non-diocesan academy group in the South West. The CLF currently sponsors 16 academies including Primary schools, Secondary Schools and a studio school catering for students aged 14 to 19.

We have retained our ‘Good’ judgement following our recent Ofsted Inspection. The report states that ‘The school is increasingly the school of choice for local parents and carers because leaders have established a culture of learning and high aspiration.’ We have a new £14million building offering a range of outstanding resources and an embedded, highly effective ‘Ready to Learn’ behaviour system, meaning students are not disrupted by low level disruption.

Joining us, you will take responsibility for the learning of allocated groups of students - planning, delivering, facilitating and assessing their learning. You will also take responsibility for your professional learning and development by taking part in the Academy performance management process, attending INSET and CPD sessions as required. With the support of the College Leader, you will support students through academic mentoring and PHSE sessions and contribute to enrichment activities within the academy.

The CLF will provide you with a hugely positive and supportive learning environment, and the opportunity to participate in both Academy and pan-federation professional development from a wide network of high-quality education professionals.
