The ContinU Plus Academy is an innovative and exciting Alternative Provision Secondary Free School based in Kidderminster. Our academy is now in its Ninth year, and recently achieved an Outstanding grading in all categories at Ofsted.

We are an educational provider for vulnerable and disengaged students in the Wyre Forest and Hagley area. All staff here are deeply committed to the wellbeing safeguarding and academic progress of our pupils. We work together as a close knit team to ensure pupils at our school receive high quality and bespoke educational provision. We wish to appoint someone who is as passionate about Art as we are at ContinU Plus Academy. Art is a subject we would like to grow to become a deeply valued subject that we’re proud of. 

Therefore, we’re looking to recruit someone who is well-qualified, has excellent subject knowledge, is able to inspire young people, and someone who is ambitious for themselves as well as for our children. The ability to teacher either Dance or Media would also be desirable.

We are looking for a Art teacher who are able to deliver GCSE, Entry Level and Functional skills qualifications across KS3, KS4 and KS5. Subjects should be vibrantly taught, engaging subjects with teachers who fully utilise interactive teaching methods in addition to the more formal approaches to engage a wide variety of learning needs. 

The post holder will have responsibility for the educational and pastoral provision of pupils.

The post holder will help co-ordinate and Quality Assure the educational offer for their students ensuring an aspirational and bespoke package.

The Art teacher will be held to account to the teacher standards as well as the outcomes of their subject teaching.
