Contract Term: We offer a permanent contract after one-year probationary period.
The English College in Prague seeks a committed and creative teacher to join its thriving Science faculty. We are looking for a candidate who can enthuse students, many of whom are academically excellent, and deliver lessons that are both exciting and rigorous. The College integrates ICT into its curriculum across all subjects so an interest in, or a desire to learn about, the use of ICT in teaching and assessment is desirable, as well as strong subject knowledge.
Biology is taught throughout the school, and ESS is a popular IB subject. Science lessons are taught in our recently refurbished laboratories, with a strong emphasis on practical and investigation work. Previous ESS experience is not necessary for a candidate with an interest in environmental science. All teachers have a timetabled period to meet with their colleagues and discuss and develop teaching ideas, and we are looking for someone who will embrace and contribute to this concept.
We are an unusual, exciting and academic HMC secondary school educating both Czech and international students. S/he will be joining a diverse and dedicated team who maintains a dynamic learning and extra-curricular environment in which the needs and talents of the individual student are recognised and nurtured.
