We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and able teacher to join our Science team here at Queen Elizabeth’s High School.
The Science Faculty at QEHS is a large, friendly, supportive and forward-looking department. We have staff with a wealth of experience, as well as staff early in their career, so there is always someone with whom you can discuss issues and develop new ideas. We are fortunate in being a very well-resourced faculty with practical work being supported by a team of four Science Technicians and a Senior Science Technician. The Science Faculty runs a very popular STEM Society in which students work towards their CREST awards, go on trips and take part in weekly activities. In addition, there are also lots of exciting opportunities to get involved in, including whole school initiatives to enable you to develop and grow your career.
The role would ideally suit an individual who, along with the appropriate qualifications, is extremely motivated and enthusiastic. Please also note that we are advertising for the part-time post of Teacher of PE in a separate advert where, if you are also able teach Science, you may wish to apply.
Queen Elizabeth’s High School offers a friendly working environment and the successful candidate will benefit from full support and induction, excellent CPD opportunities, a local government pension scheme and cycle to work scheme. In addition, children of our staff feature favourably in the admissions criteria (subject to length of service or skills criteria).
You will be a strong practitioner with a degree and a teaching qualification. You must have a commitment to practical and innovative teaching and learning, both inside and outside the classroom. You will have the passion to be part of a successful teaching environment that allows the students to achieve their goals.
If you are interested in applying for this role please contact email@example.com or visit our website for an application pack. Please state whether you are applying for the full-time or part-time position also indicating the hours you would prefer to work.
Queen Elizabeth’s High School is entirely committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all of its students. Each student’s welfare is of paramount importance.
