Edgbaston College wishes to appoint an experienced Biology Teacher to join our growing, but close-knit sixth form. We are ideally looking for a Biology Teacher on a full timetable.

Job Description

This is a full-time position for an A-Level Biology teacher starting in September 2022. Up to a full-timetable is available. 

The position would involve teaching class sizes of up to 12 A-Level students, where students are generally of a higher ability. Average class sizes tend to be lower. The role very much gives teachers the opportunity to teach rather than "manage".


Requirements  

  • A minimum of an upper second-class UK Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a Biology-related subject from a strong UK university  
  • Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills  
  • Ability to develop positive rapport with students  
  • Previous teaching experience of A-Level Biology
