Qatar Academy Sidra seeks a well-qualified and experienced teacher of Biology/Integrated Science

QAS is an IB World School, offering the Diploma Programme and the Middle Years Programme at Secondary Level. The successful candidate will possess an inquiry based, conceptual approach to teaching and learning, and have had experience of teaching Biology to Grade 11 and 12 students (UK Years 12 and 13).  They will join an existing team of highly qualified Science teachers with expertise in Chemistry and Physics.  The successful candidate will teach Integrated Science to students in the MYP and Biology to students in the DP.
Candidates must be committed to helping students to achieve their absolute best, collaborate as part of a team, and demonstrate a willingness to contribute to the busy extra-curricular life of our growing school.

We are interested in receiving applications from highly qualified and experienced teachers who have:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. All teachers being considered for specific positions should have the breadth and depth in the subject area for which they are being hired. Transcripts are to be reviewed for courses consistent with the grade level in which they will be teaching.
• PGCE, QTS or other valid teaching certification in area of instruction
• Minimum two years’ experience teaching MYP Science and IB DP Biology or KS3, KS4, KS5, IGCSE and A level Biology
• Ability to offer more than one discipline
• Teaching across the whole Secondary age range
• Prior UK and / or International experience
