We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, committed and inspirational teacher of boys PE for September 2023. The successful candidate will be an organised, positive and passionate individual with strong classroom management skills.

Applicants should be versatile and enthusiastic to meet the Fir Vale Standard for the ongoing development and evolution of this unique school. They should have an appetite to inspire young people and be driven to ensure progress for students of all abilities.

PE is taught as part of the core curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4. It is also an option at GCSE, where BTEC Sport and OCR Cambridge National in Sports Studies are delivered.

The curriculum at Fir Vale extends beyond the academic, technical or vocational. It provides students with opportunities to develop and discover their interests and talents, for students’ broader development. Applicants should be willing to positively contribute to the extra-curricular programme and be a dedicated team player.

  • It is an occupational requirement that the post holder is male in order to teach boys PE lessons. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
