Pendleton Sixth Form College is looking to recruit a hardworking and driven part time teacher of Business on a permanent contract. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge and a strong academic background. It is essential that candidates are passionate about working in education and with young people and have high standards of achievement for all learners. We welcome applications from experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers.
The Department and Role
The Business & Culture department comprises of Business, Financial Studies, Economics, Media, Film and Journalism. Business is one of the most popular courses at Pendleton Sixth Form College and we offer A level Business (Edexcel) and BTEC Business (Pearson). The successful candidate may be required to teach on BTEC as well as Financial Studies. As part of a strong curriculum team in a rapidly developing curriculum area, you will focus on increasing recruitment and working towards College and departmental targets to exceed National Benchmarks and achieve ALPS 3 or above.
We have a large department made up of experienced teachers and early career teachers. Many of our teachers have industry experience in areas such as business and finance. Our key strength is that teaching and learning is at the heart of everything we do and we are proud to create supportive and academically challenging environments for our students to thrive in. We seek to appoint a teacher who is a team player and can bring imagination to their teaching. They need be able to instil passion and a love of learning and are devoted to improving the outcomes of young people.
