Charterhouse is a successful and ambitious school in an inspiringly beautiful setting. Founded in 1611, it moved to its present magnificent 250 acre site near Godalming in 1872. The School has over 800 pupils aged between 13 and 18, all of whom, except for about 40 ‘day boarders’, are boarders.
Teacher of Business & Management
This is an outstanding opportunity for an exceptionally talented teacher of Business & Management. September 2019 also heralds a new direction in the School to further broaden and develop pupils' understanding and appreciation of business issues, with the launch of our Charterhouse MBA programme, a business-focused elective and entrepreneurship programme and the EPQ - a new qualification for our pupils, which is already well received by many universities and increasingly included as part of their offers to pupils. You will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to inspire pupils and communicate knowledge with enthusiasm and a commitment to the highest of academic and pastoral standards. You must also be genuinely prepared and excited to take roles in the wider life of a boarding school, with the ability, skills and experience to take part in the School’s pastoral and co-curricular activities.
Charterhouse offers a competitive salary and other benefits including single or family accommodation as required, contributory pension scheme through the Teachers' Pension Scheme, and membership of the School’s Sports Club.
