Barton Peveril is a vibrant and innovative sixth form college and this is an exciting opportunity to join our excellent Business Department. We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational Teacher of Business committed to ensuring learners fulfil their potential. The department delivers both A level Business Studies and the vocational BTEC Business Diploma.
You will have a degree or equivalent in Business. You must have a commitment to active and innovative teaching and learning, both inside and outside the classroom. You will have the desire to be part of a successful teaching team and a willingness to contribute to new initiatives within the department.
You will ideally be able to demonstrate how you have worked collaboratively within a team to develop quality online and paper-based resources. You will be committed to ensuring a consistent and quality experience for all students studying business programmes. The key aspects of the job are outlined in the generic college job description.
You will have the opportunity to apply for the role of Vocational Level 3 Business Subject Leader which attracts an annual allowance of £2,678. The Subject Leader role is reviewed every three years and is subject to the continuation or discontinuation by either the post holder or the College; the teaching role continues should the Subject Leader element be relinquished.
