Teacher of Business Studies

Lincroft AcademyBedford

We require a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring teacher of Business Studies to join our ambitious and high-performing Business Department.

The Business department at Lincroft benefits from a committed and experienced team leader, working with enthusiastic students who achieve excellent outcomes at Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be creative, imaginative and an excellent team player with a proven record of excellence in the classroom. The ability to teach up to GCSE level is essential and experience of teaching at Key Stage 5 would be beneficial.

Lincroft Academy has an excellent reputation locally, and more widely across Bedfordshire and the neighbouring counties. The school is over-subscribed and continues to grow, with demand for places at an all-time high; the future is also exciting as we have recently joined a highly successful Multi Academy Trust and are planning further growth and a new building project.

The successful candidate will join a school that values and develops all staff, with a commitment to CPD and opportunities to contribute to extra-curricular activities in other areas of interest. We encourage applications from enthusiastic and motivational candidates who share our passion to ensure that every child has the support they need to fulfil their potential.

We can offer:

• the opportunity to join a highly successful and ambitious school;

• a stimulating and creative working environment where extracurricular activities flourish;

• an exceptional CPD provision for all staff, working in collaboration and sharing best practice.

Lincroft Academy reserves the right to either extend or reduce the vacancy window to that advertised depending on volume of applications received. We would therefore recommend early return of completed application forms to avoid disappointment.

Lincroft Academy is committed to celebrating the diversity of our people and communities and is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.  All applicants will be considered, irrespective of age, disability, gender, gender identity, race or ethnicity, marital status, religion, sex or sexual orientation.

Lincroft Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants will undergo appropriate child protection screening including checks with past employers, the Disclosure and Barring Service and the list of those prohibited from teaching or working within the profession.
